Ben Jeanneret’s first crush was in 1992, when, under the roof of his carport he processed a tiny parcel of grapes, yielding 1000 litres (just over 100 dozen). Today, Ben crushes some 200 tonnes, producing approximately 14,000 dozen. The company’s logo is an adaptation of the Golden Rectangle taken from ancient Greek mathematical ratios, whereby the spiral produces a sequence of numbers often referred to as the Fibonnaci sequence or divine proportion. The wines are fruit driven, reflecting the terroir of the vineyard.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue and excellent glass cling. Perfumed nose of violets, confectionary, vanilla, blackberry and spice. The palate is generous, with flavours of spice, blackberry and liquorice. Fine grained tannins. The palate has excellent depth and ‘joosy’ texture supported by fine dry tannins. Excellent balance. Long aftertaste of vanilla, liquorice, blackberry and spice. Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 15%
