A very impressive red from Jasper Hill. Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Refined nose of blackcurrant, cedar and black cherry followed by a violet end note. The palate delivers plenty of ripe fruit flavours of ripe plum, stewed fruit and blackcurrant abound, over a very spicy, black pepper back palate. Fine dry, chalky tannins, followed by a long blackcurrant, cherry and spice aftertaste.

Other reviews...
Outstanding colour; a fragrant burst of sweet fruits and spices leaps from the glass; much more elegnat than many prior vintages; black fruits and very fine tannins to close.

From a top-notch estate in Victoria’s Heathcote region, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 Shiraz Georgia’s Paddock offers up scents of licorice, white pepper, cassis, and new barrel smells. Full-bodied, rich, and heady, its big, earthy style reflects the Cambrian soils of Heathcote. It should drink well for a decade.
