2004 Jacob's Creek St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon

A beautiful nose, with an appealing but not great palate. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top note of blackcurrant, followed by cedar and cassis showing strong varietal character. The palate is more restrained than the nose, delicate flavours of mocha, liquorice and dark chocolate but without the anticipated palate length. Fine grained tannins, with excellent balance. Aftertaste of blackcurrant and spice.
