2004 Innocent Bystander Sangiovese Merlot

Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Medium body. The nose has good lift, with mulberry top notes followed by spice and a hint of confectionary. Mulberry and stewed fruit palate flavours are supported by fine dry tannins which emerge from the Sangiovese. Aftertaste of stewed fruit with dry chalky tannins persisting.
