This museum release sparkling has been matured for 2 years in oak then another 3 years on yeast lees. Creamy mauve purple mousse exhibiting an exceptionally fine bead showing good persistence. Dark crimson red base colour. The nose displays aromas of dark chocolate, blackberry and leather with a hint of spice. Medium to full bodied the palate is still quite youthful delivering ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours. Excellent richness with medium to long aftertaste of blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice.
Cellar a further 2-3 years (2011-2014).
