Opaque black brick red colour with a deep dark brick red hue. Aromas of aniseed, stewed plums and leather are followed by some spicy vanillin oak. Rich and thickly textured aniseed and black plum flavours dominate the palate over a background of leather and spicy vanillin oak. Velvet smooth tannins. Medium to long aniseed, leather and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
