Wine writers have described the character of the Miamba Shiraz as having ‘spicy fruit flavours redolent of fruit cake.’ To achieve this style of wine, the grapes are crushed and de-stemmed, then fermented for seven days in stainless steel tanks at around 28°C. Prior to the completion of the ferment the wine is transferred to American oak casks where it remains for 18 months.

Opaque black purple colour with deep purple hue. Perfumed nose of vanilla and ripe plum followed by a blackberry and violet end note. The palate has excellent weight with a touch of mocha and dark chocolate followed by vanilla, plum and blackberry. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of spice, black pepper and plum.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14%
