2004 Dog Point Vineyard Chardonnay

The nose delivers great complexity. Bright pale gold colour with water like hue. Layers of yeast lees, followed by cashew and hazelnut showing good barrel ferment character. The palate does not carry through the expectations of the nose. On the palate, hints of grapefruit are evident followed by lemon and just a touch of toast and yeast lees. The power and depth of flavour is missing. Aftertaste of yeast lees and grapefruit.
