Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue and excellent cling. Top note of toasted oak, followed by vanilla, confectionary, plum and black pepper. The palate is voluptuous and displays both the power and concentration that ‘The Dead Arm’ is noted for. Mouthfilling flavours of vanilla, confectionary and plum, followed by explosive black pepper back palate. Fine grained, dry tannins persistent with long black pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-8 years (2011-2014)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews….. The renowned 2004 Shiraz The Dead Arm, fashioned from ancient head-pruned vines, is stunning. An inky/purple color is accompanied by a glorious perfume of creosote/melted road tar, blackberry and cassis liqueur, pepper, and spice. This deep, rich, full-bodied, tannic Shiraz should be drinkable in 2-3 years, and will last for two decades or more. It is the finest Dead Arm since the 2001.
