Impressive colour. Bright crimson with deep crimson hue. The nose is lifted with perfumed top notes, followed by raspberry and raspberry jube. Modest palate length with flavours of raspberry and liquorice allsorts. The tannins are too dominant at the moment – being slightly chalky and persistent. Raspberry, spiced plum aftertaste.

Cellar 2-3 years (2008-2009)

Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews…
A classic Grenache, the 2004 The Custodian exhibits crisp notes of liquorice, kirsch liqueur, and loamy soil in a medium to full-bodied, spicy style. This beautifully knit, medium-bodied, richly fruity Grenache should drink well for several years.
