Very deep crimson purple colour with mauve crimson hue.  The wine shows excellent depth of colour, something not all Grenache wines are capable of displaying.  Concentrated nose of raspberry and spice followed by a perfumed end note.  'Joosy' palate with good weight and mouthfeel.  Flavours of white pepper and raspberry emerge over a background of liquorice allsorts.  Fine grained tannins.  Excellent balance.  Long 'joosy' aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Robert Parkers Review:
From sandy soils and a gentle northern exposure, the sexy 2004 Grenache Old Vines Kangarilla Vineyard offers notions of sweet red and black fruits intermixed with licorice, Provencal herbs, spice box, and exotic fruit. This sumptuous, plush effort possesses the sweetest glycerin and ripest tannin as well as good acidity and definition. Readers will either love or hate this extroverted, rich, full-throttle Grenache.
