2004 Clarendon Hills Brookman Syrah

Very deep crimson purple colour with crimson purple hue, delivering a perfumed sniff of blackberry, violets, spice and ripe plum.  The palate structure remains tight for the time being with fine grained tannins supporting flavours of plum, blackberry and liquorice allsorts followed by a hint of marzipan.  Perfect balance with aftertaste of blackberry and liquorice allsorts.

The 2004 Syrah Brookman Vineyard is soft and pliable, but neither flabby nor lacking definition. Hints of roasted coffee, vanilla, blackberries, acacia flowers, and cassis are found in both the aromas and flavors. It is a silky-textured, rich, seductive, concentrated yet elegant, streamlined Syrah.
