An outstanding follow up to the 2003 Brookman Cabernet.  Opaque black crimson colour with purple crimson hue.  Perfumed notes of violets and blackcurrant followed by a cedar end note - a wonderful sniff.  The palate is very impressive with flavours of dark chocolate, violet infusions and blackcurrant followed by a hint of confectionary and liquorice allsorts.  Fine grained tannins, excellent balance.  Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cassis and violet infusions.
Cellar 10-15 years (2016-2021)

Robert Parkers Review:
The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Brookman Vineyard (from 60-year-old vines) reveals extraordinary elegance and finesse along with a flowery, black currant, and high quality French oak-scented bouquet. A sweet, expansive attack, beautiful tannin, and a long, concentrated finish suggest this is a 20-year wine that should be drinkable in 2-3 years. Like most of these Bordeaux varietal-based cuvees, it saw approximately 80% new oak.
