2004 Brown Magpie Breheny Vineyards Shiraz

This excellent cool climate Shiraz was recently awarded a gold medal and trophy at the Geelong Regional Wine Show. Very deep, almost opaque black mauve colour and hue. Top notes of violets, giving the nose its perfumed quality, followed by blackberry, vanilla and a hint of liquorice. The palate delivers classic cool climate Shiraz restraint, whilst still maintaining plenty of flavour. Plum, blackberry, liquorice and vanilla flavours are evident over a white pepper background. Fine grained tannins. Long white pepper aftertaste.
