2004 Binder Mitchell Gunslingers Shiraz

Very deep, almost opaque black purple colour. Toasted oak top note, followed by liquorice and vanilla. On the palate flavours of vanilla, spice and black pepper emerge over a spicy back palate. Fine grained tannins. Spicy aftertaste.

Retasted: Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top note of vanilla, followed by spice and plum, showing ripe Shiraz fruit nose. The palate again delivers flavours of ripe plum, followed by liquorice and spice; however the flavour profile is quite short. Dry, chalky tannins which are persistent. Aftertaste of plum, stewed fruit and liquorice.
