2004 Balnaves Coonawarra Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Plum, mocha, dark chocolate and spice notes are followed by a spicy end note. The palate flavours are generous with very spicy white pepper and plum flavours. Fine dry, perfectly balanced tannins. Aftertaste of spice and plum with very fine dry tannins persisting.

First Tasted, May 2006: Opaque crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice, liquorice, blackberry, cedar and black pepper. The palate flavour profile is quite dry. Flavours of spice, black pepper and white pepper are overlaid with liquorice. Moderate palate length. Fine, dry tannins. Cedar, black pepper aftertaste.
