2003 Waipara Hills Pinot Noir

This wine has been matured for 6 months in French oak. Semi-translucent brick red colour with translucent brick red hue. The nose reveals a distinctive varietal lift with notes of cherry, violets and stewed plum emerging. The palate is tight – flavours of sour cherry and stewed plum emerge. Dry, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of sour cherry and spice.
