2003 Tait Basket Pressed Shiraz

A great follow up to the 2002 vintage. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose displays excellent varietal character. Top note of liquorice, followed by vanilla, dark chocolate, blackberry and plum. The palate has all the generosity one has come to expect from Barossa shiraz. Plenty of palate weight coupled with big ripe fruit flavours. Black pepper, plum, vanilla and confectionary flavours fill the mouth. Fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of vanilla, liquorice, plum and spice.
