First tasted, March 2005:
This is the contemporary version of a Grand Old Label of Seppelts, from days gone by. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of liquorice, truffle and spice followed by violets and blackcurrant. The palate has excellent weight and balance, displaying a hint of mint over a background of blackcurrant, spice and truffle. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and truffle.
