2003 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

Brilliant straw colour with pale gold hue. Fig, melon, nut and cashew flavours on the nose with delicate yeast lees creating a sophisticated sniff. The palate delivers an interesting juxtaposition of flavours between ‘Chablis’ and ‘White Burgundy’ – Flavours of cashew, biscuit, yeast lees and delicate oak followed by fig and melon. Crisp acid backbone, giving the palate a sense of freshness. Long aftertaste of cashew, biscuit and lees.
