This wine was produced from 20 years old gin gin clones and barrel fermented in new French oak. Brilliant gold colour with deep straw hue. The nose has distinct barrel ferment character with notes of butterscotch, yeast lees, cashews, biscuit and hazelnut emerging. Creamy palate texture. Flavours of butterscotch, ripe melon and ripe peach followed by a layer of toasted oak and lemon. Soft acid finish. Aftertaste of spiced melon, tropical fruit and cinnamon.
