The owners of this wine have employed a PR consultant who has issued press release overselling the glories of this wine big time! Ridiculous claims forecasting Robert Parker’s tasting results coupled with declarations that this wine has the dollar potential to go from $75 retail to between US $1400-$1500 a bottle are in total fantasy land.

Made by John Ellis, this wine delivers exceptional colour that has become the hallmark of Heathcote Shiraz. Opaque black purple colour with excellent cling to the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate and mocha followed by a hint of coffee and spice. The palate is totally overwhelmed by fierce, dry tannins that leave the mouth gasping and overshadow the fruit. Flavours of inky blood plum and liquorice emerge, only briefly. This wine may come together one day – but in our opinion is totally out of balance.
