2003 Ralph Fowler Shiraz Viognier

The wines from Mount Benson are experiencing a mixed reception after quite a spectacular early start. This wine should have been outstanding, but does not deliver. Bright crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. Medium body. Delicately perfumed nose with aroma of spice and cedar. On the palate, flavours of green tea emerge over a slightly herbal background. Modest length. Aftertaste of green tea, plum and spice.
