Wine maker Lindsay McCall has emerged as the Star of the Mornington Peninsula. His Pinot Noir collection is expressive and as good as the best of New Zealand. His Shiraz shows elegance, finesse and loads of flavour, without the body weight that McLaren Vale or Barossa delivers. The prices are often very expensive, however, they certainly represent value none the less.

A beautiful cool climate Shiraz. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose of violets, spice and vanilla. The palate structure is elegant, with flavours of spice, black pepper and blackberry overlaid with violet infusions. Dryish, fine grained tannins, supported by a spicy black pepper back palate. Excellent balance. Very long aftertaste of spice and black pepper.
