2003 Organic Vignerons Australia Merlot

This wine has been made by Temple Bruer and certified organic. Crimson, brick red colour with crimson hue. Aroma of mulberry, liquorice allsorts and ripe plum. The palate flavours are quite developed with spice, mulberry and white pepper. Soft tannin structure. Very good length. Aftertaste of plum, spice and mulberry.

First tasted, December 2004:
The merlot for this wine was sourced from two vineyards in South Australia, the first being K & C Hansen’s Padthaway Vineyard, whilst the other source was from the Markou family in Gawler River. Crimson, brick red colour. Medium body. Aroma of spice, plum and mulberry jam. The palate reveals flavours of spice, coffee and mulberry, followed by dusty tannins. Chalky tannin and coffee aftertaste.
