2003 Narkoojee Reserve Chardonnay

HARRY FRIEND of Narkoojee vineyards in Gippsland is rapidly gaining a cult following for his extraordinary Chardonnays, which in many ways draw comparison to the early days of Giaconda. Vines are trained to a Lyre trellis which increases the exposure of the fruit to ensure optimum ripeness. Narkoojee have upgraded their packaging with a sophisticated new look, although the familiar Cockatoo crest trademark has been retained.
Brilliant straw colour. Superb nose of cashew, biscuit, yeast lees and hazelnut. Mouthfilling palate, with creamy texture. The flavour profile is seamless with cashew, hazelnut biscuit spice and melon flavour characters forming a new totality. Soft acid finish. Very long aftertaste of spice, cashew, biscuit and yeast lees.
Cellar: 2-3 years (2006- 2007)
