First Tasted April 2005: An outstanding follow up to the 2002 release. The wine is unfiltered and has been cropped at 1.1 tonnes per acre, giving the wine a remarkable degree of concentrated flavour.
Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Magnificent nose, with aroma of violets, spice, vanilla, plum, liquorice allsorts and finishing with a distinct plum pudding end note. The palate delivers everything that the nose promises. Flavours of vanilla, confectionary, black cherry, plum pudding, liquorice and spice. Fine, dry chalky tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of black cherry, plum pudding and vanilla. Stocks arriving in store Friday.
