2003 Kirrihill Estates Clare Valley Shiraz

An impressive follow up to the 2002, displaying the ripe fruit flavours and classic Clare tannin structure.  Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of vanilla, spice, plum and liquorice with hints of chocolate as an endnote, giving the wine a perfumed lift. The palate has plenty of weight and mouthfeel. Loads of flavours – vanilla, dark chocolate and spice emerge followed by a confectionary back palate. Excellent length. Fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of spice, vanilla, dark chocolate and liquorice allsorts.
