A very disjointed wine. Crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of blackcurrant and cedar followed by a hint of earth and plum. Sour plum and stewed fruit palate flavours evident. High acid backbone. Aftertaste of sour plum, stewed fruit and spice.

Retasted second bottle: Deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of spice, liquorice and mocca, followed by blackcurrant and cedar. Flavours of cedar, cigar box and tea leaf emerge on the palate. Dry tannins, giving the wine a tight structure. Aftertaste of cedar, spice and cigar box.
