The blend is comprised of 55% Grenache, 37% Shiraz and 8% Mourvedre. Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of spice, raspberry, cherry ripe and liquorice. On the palate flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate, spice and dark cherry emerge followed by a spicy tar back palate. Fine grained soft tannins, slightly chalky with aftertaste of dark cherry, dark chocolate and liquorice.

First tasted, June 2004:
The composition of this wine is made up from a blend of 55% Grenache, 37% Shiraz and 8% Mouvedre. Deep crimson colour with mauve hue. Medium body. Aroma of earth, plum, spice, raspberry and liquorice. The palate structure is soft, making the wine very drinkable at the moment. Flavours of liquorice, spice, earth and raspberry are evident. Soft tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice all sorts and raspberry.
