2003 Jim Barry Unwooded Chardonnay

The Chardonnay crop, like the Barry’s Riesling crop produced the lowest yield for 20 years, down 80% on the previous year. Bright straw colour with green hue. Aroma of melon and tropical fruit followed by a subtle spice end note. The palate has good weight with flavours of melon, tropical fruit and spice emerging followed by a hint of citrus on the back palate. Crisp acid finish followed by an aftertaste of tropical fruit, citrus, melon and spice.
