2003 Jeanneret Shiraz

A magnificent red, produced from three year old vines, grown by Jim and Corolie Jones. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep black purple hue. Lifted nose of violets, blackberry, spice and vanilla. The palate has plenty of weight with generous ripe fruit mouthfeel. Flavours of ripe plum, vanilla, violets and blackberry are followed by a white pepper background. Fine grained tannins, dry but well balanced, supporting the big fruit profile. Long aftertaste of liquorice allsorts and confectionary with dry tannins persisting.
