2003 Howard Park Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

The fruit for this wine was grown in the Great Southern and Margaret River districts of Western Australia and matured in 100% new French oak barriques for 20 months.
Very deep crimson brick red colour with brick red hue. Top note of truffle followed by mulberry, cassis, blackcurrant and cedar. The tannin structure is fine and dry, with back palate flavours of cigar box emerging. Aftertaste of cedar, cigar box and stewed fruit.
