2003 David Traeger Cabernet Merlot

Very deep black crimson colour with black brick red hue. Top note of new leather and spice, followed by truffle, stewed fruit and cedar, showing bottle development, with end notes of confectionary, dark chocolate and smoky oak. Flavours of leather and spice with fine dry chalky tannins, which tend to override the cedar and spice characteristics. Aftertaste of spice and stewed fruit.
