2003 Coriole Mary Kathleen Cabernet Merlot

This wine is composed of a blend of 63% Cabernet and 37% Merlot. Medium body, deep crimson brick red colour with deep brick red hue. Superb lifted nose of confectionary, violets and cedar delivering a great sniff. The palate takes some what of a U-turn and is much tighter than the nose suggests. Flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry and cedar are followed by some stewed fruit. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit and spice.
