Brilliant pale gold colour with straw hue. The nose is complex, showing layers of biscuit, hazelnut, yeast lees and cashew. Creamy palate texture. The palate lacks concentration that the nose promised to deliver. Aftertaste of hazelnut, fig and cashew.

First tasted, February 2005:
Brilliant pale gold colour, with straw hue. The nose reveals classic barrel ferment characteristics. Aroma of yeast lees, cashew, biscuit, nectarine and hazelnut. The palate has plenty of weight, with creamy texture. Flavours of cinnamon, spice and yeast lees emerge over a butterscotch back palate. The acidity is relatively soft. Aftertaste of nectarine, citrus yeast lees and spice.
