BlackJack Vineyards is situated on the granitic soil of the Harcourt Valley in the Bendigo Wine Region of Central Victoria. BlackJack vineyards released its first wine in November 1994 and in the short intervening period has established an enviable reputation fro producing fine and generous red wine.

FIVE STARS: Blackjack 2003 Shiraz. BlackJack, near Harcourt in the broad Bendigo region, thoroughly deserves its growing cult status among lovers of rich, warming and satisfying Central Victorian reds. All the reds under this label have an honesty and generosity that are both endearing and seductive. The latest release is a delicious expression of shiraz with deep, long flavour within a balanced body. Already drinking surprisingly well, but five years in the cellar will see a more mellow result. Five stars (Unbeatable).
