2003 Bidgeebong Gundagai Shiraz

Very deep almost opaque black crimson mauve colour. Aroma of vanilla, violets, ripe plum and blackberry, followed by a black pepper endnote. The palate is quite dry, with over whelming very dry chalky tannins. Subdued plum and stewed fruit flavours emerge, which continue be swamped by the dry tannins. The dry chalky tannins persist long into the aftertaste.
