An impressive commercial wine. Very deep crimson colour with deep mauve purple hue. Lifted nose of violets, blackberry, spice and liquorice. The palate has a ‘joosy’ quality – not quite as opulent as wines from McLaren Vale, but nonetheless very evident. Flavours of spice, liquorice, blackberry and plum emerge. Fine grained, soft tannins. Long aftertaste of spice, plum and blackberry.
