WINNER OF THE BEST SHIRAZ AT THE 2005 WINEWISE SMALL VIGNERON AWARDS!

This continues in the style of previous vintages, and has become the flagship of Arakoon. Totally opaque black crimson colour. Aroma of spice, coffee, mocha, liquorice, vanilla and very ripe plum. The palate is no surprise, it has the weight and voluptuous mouth feel that the density and aroma have already revealed. Mouth filling flavours of white and black pepper, plum and spice over a background of coffee, mocha and blackberry. The back palate is filled with white pepper. Fine dry tannins which persist into the aftertaste. Prune, coffee, white pepper aftertaste. A wine that has only been lightly fined, but remains unfiltered.
Cellar 3-4 years (2008-2009) Stelvin
Alc/Vol: 16.5%
