2002 Yarra Ridge Chardonnay

The 2002 vintage was the coolest on record for the Yarra, retaining natural acidity in the fruit. Berry size was exceptionally small, reducing crops and producing intense aromas and flavours. Low crops and a dry autumn helped produce some fantastic fruit for this wine.

Tasting Note: Medium bodied wine of a pale straw colour with a delicate bouquet of stone fruit. A creamy palate texture follows through with peach and citrus flavors and a subtle oakiness. Fresh, well-developed mouth feel, finishing with a hint of natural acid.
