2002 Yarra Burn Shiraz Viognier

A very stylish wine. Very deep crimson colour with distinct mauve hue. Perfumed nose with aroma of fresh liquorice, ripe plum, spice and blackberry. The palate structure displays elegance and refinement without the voluptuous quality that is often associated with Shiraz. On the palate, flavours of liquorice and blackberry are followed by white pepper and plum. Fine grained tannins, perfectly balanced, followed by a long aftertaste of liquorice, plum and aniseed.
