2002 Talomas Chardonnay Viognier

The Talomas brand of wines is a result of a joint venture arrangement between Robert Mondavi in California and Rosemount wines. Winemakers from both continents swap winemaking skills and produce wines from the other’s vineyards.

The Chardonnay, Viognier blend consists of 83% Chardonnay and 17% Viognier. Brilliant pale straw colour, with water like hue. Scented nose of musk, loquat, fig and guava, displaying an exotic lift. The fruit flavours are more subdued on the palate, than the nose might suggest. Good weight. Soft acid finish. Aftertaste of musk and loquat.
