2002 Stonier's Reserve Chardonnay

Brilliant deep straw, pale gold colour. Aroma of honey and yeast lees, followed by delicate biscuit and cashew. The palate has an unusual and unexpected flavour of sour fruit over tropical fruit. Back palate flavours of peach, yeast lees, lemon and honey. Soft acid finish. Aftertaste of lemon, ‘sour peach’, honey, lees and biscuit. Whilst there are some of the charcteristcs of a Reserve wine evident, there is insufficient power and concentration to warrant reserve status.
