From the outstanding 2002 vintage we have a small amount of the Seppelt Victorian Reserve Shiraz at current release pricing!

A multi district blend, the fruit for this wine was sourced from the Grampians (35%), Bendigo (35%), Alpine Valleys (20%) and Rutherglen (10%). The wine was matured for 10 months in 15% new and 85% one and two-year-old French and American Oak.

The 2002 vintage is without doubt the best Seppelt Victorian Premium Reserve Shiraz produced to date, receiving rave reviews from wine critics across Australia, the 2002 vintage displaying greater depth and concentration then the current 2003 release. Opaque black purple mauve colour. The nose is impressive and reveals Central Victorian ripe Shiraz fruit. Lifted notes of cedar, blackberry, liquorice allsorts, spice and violets emerge - a great start! The palate follows through on the promise of the nose. Mouthfilling flavours of spice, ripe plum and ripe blackberry overlaid with liquorice allsorts, white pepper and black pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Very long aftertaste of white pepper, confectionary, dark chocolate and liquorice.
