2002 Saltram The Eighth Maker Shiraz

An expensive, refined red and winner of the Jimmy Watson Trophy. Opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. Superbly aromatic nose, layers of fresh liquorice, followed by a hint of truffle, old leather, cedar, toasted oak, black pepper and liquorice, followed by a hint of mocha. Outstanding length, very fine tannins, a wine with great persistence of flavour – refined, elegant and powerful.
