The Progeny Shiraz is made at Sanguine Estate and is Tony Hunter’s siblings’ wine. Like many winemaking ventures this enterprise is a family affair. The kids have established a section of vineyard on the Sanguine property, which they are managing separately.
The Progeny Shiraz came up very well in the recent Heathcote Regional tasting. On previous occasions the tannins seemed to be too assertive and dry, however this did not appear to be the case in this line up.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. The nose is Classic Heathcote, delivering a perfumed sniff of violets, spice, black pepper and vanilla. The palate flavours are mouth filling with fine dry, balanced tannins. Flavours of violet infusions, plum, spice and vanilla which are carried onto the aftertaste.
