2002 Pipers Brook Vineyard Pinot Noir

Deep crimson colour with crimson hue – remarkably deep for a Pinot, showing good varietal character. Notes of dark cherry, plum and spice emerge with just a hint of game. The palate does not deliver the flavour profile that the nose suggests, with sour cherry and spice flavours being dominant followed by a spicy back palate. Fine grained tannins, stewed fruit, sour cherry aftertaste.
