2002 Penfolds Bin 138 Old Vine Barossa Valley Grenache Syrah Mourvedre

The wine was aged for 15 months in older American and French oak hogsheads.Very deep crimson black colour with deep crimson hue. The palate flavours are generous, with typical Barossa voluptuous quality. Aroma of liquorice, raspberry, black pepper, spice and violets, showing a lifted perfumed quality. The palate has excellent length and depth with flavours of liquorice, raspberry and spice emerging. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, raspberry and blackberry.
