2002 Penbro Estate Shiraz

The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. The nose is appealing with perfumed lift showing excellent Cabernet character. Aroma of blackcurrant, raspberry, spice and violets. On the palate, flavours of blackcurrant and spice emerge followed by stewed fruit, liquorice allsorts, cedar and tobacco leaf. Excellent balance, fine grained tannins followed by an aftertaste of cedar, blackcurrant and spice.
